What is link tracking in Whippy?

Last updated: November 5, 2026

Use Link Tracking settings to understand whether links are being shortened and tracked when sent from Whippy.

Before you start

  • Decide whether you need tracking for one message, campaign, or a reusable tracked link.

  • Confirm link tracking is allowed for your workspace and channel.

  • Use tracked links directly from Whippy so clicks can be recorded.

Steps

  1. Open the area where you plan to send or manage the link.

  2. Add the URL you want contacts to open.

  3. Confirm link tracking is enabled for the message, campaign, or tracked link workflow.

  4. Send the message or save the tracked link.

  5. Review click activity in the relevant conversation, campaign analytics, or link tracking area.

Tips

  • Use tracked links when you need to measure whether contacts interact with a URL.

  • Use a custom tracking domain when your team wants branded tracked links.

  • Do not rely on tracking for links copied and shared outside Whippy.

Troubleshooting

  • If a link click is not recorded, confirm the link was sent as a tracked Whippy link.

  • If the link was shared outside Whippy, send the tracked link directly through Whippy instead.

  • If tracked links do not appear as expected, review link tracking settings and domain configuration.
