How do I search for contacts?

Use contact search to quickly find a person in Whippy by details such as name, phone number, email, or other available contact information.

Before you start

  • Open the Contacts area.

  • Know at least one detail for the contact you want to find.

Steps

  1. Open Contacts from the main sidebar.

  2. Select All contacts.

  3. Click into the search field.

  4. Enter the contact detail you want to search for, such as name, phone number, or email.

  5. Review the matching contacts in the table.

  6. Open the contact record you need.

Tips

  • Use filters when search alone returns too many results.

  • Search by phone number or email when names are duplicated.

  • Confirm the contact record before messaging or editing details.

Troubleshooting

  • If no results appear, check spelling and try another identifier.

  • If too many results appear, add filters or use a more specific search term.

  • If the contact is missing, confirm it has been imported, created, or synced correctly.
