How do I search messages within a conversation?

Use in-conversation search when you need to find a specific message inside one conversation.

Search within a conversation

  1. Open Inbox.

  2. Open the conversation you want to search.

  3. Click the message search option in the conversation view.

  4. Enter a keyword or phrase from the message.

  5. Review the matching results.

  6. Select a result to jump to that message in the conversation.

Tips

  • Use unique words or phrases to narrow results.

  • Use inbox search if you are not sure which conversation contains the message.

  • Use the message URL or share link if you need to send someone directly to a specific message.

Troubleshooting

  • If there are no results, try another keyword or confirm you are searching the right conversation.

  • If you used global search by mistake, open the conversation and use the in-conversation search option.

  • If a message is not searchable, validate whether the message type is supported by in-conversation search.
