How do I update channel overview details?

Use the channel Overview tab to update the channel name, icon, description, address, and basic identity details.

Before you start

  • Confirm you have permission to manage channels.

  • Know which channel you need to update.

  • Have any updated address or location details ready if the channel uses them.

Steps

  1. Open Settings > Channels.

  2. Select the channel you want to update.

  3. Open the Overview tab.

  4. Update the channel icon, channel name, description, address, or Place ID as needed.

  5. Click Update Channel Details.

  6. Return to the Channels list and confirm the channel is easy to recognize.

Tips

  • Use a channel name teammates can recognize quickly.

  • Keep descriptions short and practical.

  • Only update address and Place ID fields when the channel uses location details.

  • Review channel users after renaming a channel so access remains clear.

Troubleshooting

  • If the old channel name still appears, save again and refresh the channel list.

  • If address details are not relevant, leave unused fields unchanged.

  • If you cannot edit channel details, ask an admin to review your channel permissions.
