How do I use Channels settings?

Last updated: November 5, 2026

Use Channels settings as the starting point for managing connected communication channels and opening each channel’s detailed configuration tabs.

Before you start

  • Confirm you have permission to view or manage channels.

  • Know the channel name or channel type you want to review.

Steps

  1. Open Settings > Channels.

  2. Use Search Channels to find a channel when the list is long.

  3. Click Add Channel if you need to connect a new channel and the button is available.

  4. Select an existing channel to open its settings.

  5. Use Overview for channel details.

  6. Use Business Hours and Auto Responses to control time-based behavior.

  7. Use Users to manage who can access the channel.

  8. Use other tabs, such as Configuration, Call Flow, or Settings, when they are available for that channel type.

Tips

  • Treat Channels settings as the starting point, then use each channel tab for detailed configuration.

  • Call Flow appears only for supported phone channels.

  • Configuration appears only when custom channel configuration is enabled.

  • Use Accounts settings for provider account infrastructure, not day-to-day channel details.

Troubleshooting

  • If a tab is missing, confirm the channel type, provider, and enabled features.

  • If a user cannot access a channel, open the channel and review the Users tab.

  • If search does not return a channel, clear the search and review the full channel list.
