How do I buy a custom domain for link tracking?

Buy a custom domain when you want Whippy to use a branded domain for tracked campaign links.

Before you start

  • Choose a short, recognizable domain that fits your brand or campaign.

  • Confirm you have permission to make purchases for your organization.

  • Confirm billing/payment access if required.

Steps

  1. Open Campaigns.

  2. Go to Links.

  3. Select the Domains tab.

  4. Select Buy Domains.

  5. Enter the domain you want to purchase.

  6. Select Check to confirm availability.

  7. If the domain is available, select Buy Domain.

  8. Wait for Whippy to start configuring the domain for campaign links.

Tips

  • Use a domain that is easy for contacts to recognize.

  • Short domains usually work better in SMS and email.

  • Consider separate domains for different brands, locations, or campaign types.

  • Allow time for setup before using the domain in a live campaign.

Troubleshooting

  • If the domain is unavailable, try a different spelling or another domain extension.

  • If the purchase does not complete, check payment access or try again later.

  • If the domain does not appear after purchase, refresh the page and wait for configuration to finish.
