How do I add campaign automations?

Add campaign automations when you want Whippy to automatically follow up based on how contacts interact with a campaign.

Before you start

• Create a new campaign or open an existing draft.

• Write the campaign message first, including any keyword you want contacts to reply with.

• Use campaign automations for SMS and email campaigns where supported.

Steps

1. Open the campaign editor.

2. Complete or review the campaign message.

3. Save the campaign message.

4. Go to the Automations section.

5. Select Add trigger.

6. Choose New automation or an available automation template.

7. Select the trigger type, such as keyword trigger, response trigger, link click, or call event.

8. If using a keyword trigger, enter the keyword included in your campaign message.

9. Select Next – Add action.

10. Choose the follow-up action, such as sending an automated response.

11. Save the automation.

12. Review the campaign and send when ready.

Tips

• Keep keywords short and easy to type.

• Avoid common words that could accidentally trigger the automation.

• Test the automation before sending to a large audience.

• Use different triggers when you need different follow-up paths.

Troubleshooting

• If a trigger fails to save, reduce the number of keywords and try again.

• If an automation does not fire, confirm the reply matches the configured keyword or trigger condition.

• If automations are not available, confirm the campaign channel supports them.
