Add a custom domain when you want tracked short links to use a branded domain your team owns.

Before you start

  • Make sure you own or control the domain you want to use.

  • Confirm you can access DNS settings if verification steps are required.

Steps

  1. Open Campaigns.

  2. Go to Links.

  3. Select the Domains tab.

  4. Select Add Domains.

  5. Enter the domain you want to use for tracked short links.

  6. Select Add Domain.

  7. Wait for Whippy to start or complete the setup process.

  8. Confirm the domain appears in your domain list before using it in links.

Tips

  • Use a clean, recognizable domain that matches your brand.

  • Avoid using domains already dedicated to unrelated systems.

  • Consider separate domains for different teams or campaign types if needed.

Troubleshooting

  • If the domain is not accepted, check that it uses a valid format such as example.com.
