How do I review channel configuration?

Last updated: November 5, 2026

Use the channel Configuration tab when a channel exposes provider-specific or custom configuration options.

Before you start

  • Confirm you have permission to manage channels.

  • Know which provider or custom setting you need to review.

  • Only change setup-level values you understand.

Steps

  1. Open Settings > Channels.

  2. Select the channel you want to review.

  3. Look for the Configuration tab.

  4. If the tab appears, open it and review the available provider or custom fields.

  5. Update only the values you need to change.

  6. Save the configuration if the tab provides a save action.

  7. Test the channel after changing provider-level configuration.

Tips

  • Use the Configuration tab only for setup-level changes.

  • Use the matching channel tab for business hours, auto responses, users, or inbox behavior.

  • Confirm provider account details in Settings > Accounts when configuration depends on provider infrastructure.

  • Document credential or provider changes in your team's internal process if needed.

Troubleshooting

  • If the Configuration tab is not visible, the feature may not be enabled or supported for that channel.

  • If a configuration change breaks the channel, revert the changed value if known and verify provider account setup.

  • If you are unsure where a setting belongs, use Channels for connected-channel settings and Accounts for provider account infrastructure.
