How do I track link clicks and review analytics?
Last updated: November 5, 2026
Use link click analytics to understand who clicked tracked links, how campaigns or sequences performed, and whether click activity should trigger follow-up automation.
Before you start
Make sure link tracking is enabled before sending the message, campaign, or sequence.
Add a message that includes the link you want to track.
Wait for contacts to receive and click the link.
Review click analytics
Open the campaign, sequence, or conversation you want to review.
Go to the relevant analytics or activity view.
Review individual click activity or aggregate campaign data.
Check available metadata, such as country, city, or device type, when enabled.
Use the click data to identify engaged contacts or improve future messages.
Use link clicks in automations
Open the campaign or sequence settings.
Confirm link tracking is enabled.
Add a link click trigger if you want an action to run after a click.
Choose the follow-up action, such as sending another message, notifying a teammate, or moving the contact into another workflow.
Test the link and trigger before launching broadly.
Tips
Review analytics after launch to identify high-performing links.
Use metadata as directional context, not exact location tracking.
Add click triggers only after confirming the correct link is in the message.
Troubleshooting
Clicks are not showing: Confirm link tracking was enabled before the message was sent.
An automation did not trigger: Check that a link click trigger exists and is configured correctly.
No metadata appears: Confirm metadata collection is enabled.
Location data looks incorrect: Treat it as approximate because VPNs or routed networks can affect it.
