Use advanced email sending options when you need more control over how email is sent, displayed, and routed.

Before you start

  • You need permission to edit email channel settings.

  • You should have your custom provider details ready if you are using a custom email provider.

Configure advanced email sending options

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Go to Channels.

  3. Select the email channel you want to edit.

  4. Open the sender or provider settings for the channel.

  5. Choose whether to use the default Whippy-managed provider or a custom provider.

  6. If using a custom provider, enter the required provider details.

  7. Save your changes.

  8. Send a test email to confirm the sender and reply behavior work as expected.

Tips

  • Use the default provider unless your team specifically needs custom email infrastructure.

  • Keep the visible sender address aligned with the sending domain to reduce inbox warnings.

  • Test reply routing before using the channel for campaigns or high-volume sending.

Troubleshooting

  • If recipients see a “via” label, confirm the sender address and sending domain are aligned.

  • If replies do not return to Whippy, review the reply routing and sender configuration.

  • If custom sending fails, verify the provider credentials and domain setup.
