How do I set up a custom email address in Whippy?
Last updated: November 5, 2026
Set up a custom email address on an email channel so recipients see the sender address and domain you want to use for conversations and campaigns.
Before you start
Choose the email channel you want to update.
Decide whether to use Whippy's default domain or a custom domain.
Make sure any custom domain is configured for email before selecting it.
Steps
Go to Settings.
Select Channels.
Open the email channel you want to update.
Open the Channel Sender section.
Enter an email name, such as sales or support.
Choose a domain from the dropdown.
Select whippymail.com for the default setup, or select your configured custom domain.
Select Update Channel Sender.
Send a test email to confirm the sender name and sender address appear correctly.
Tips
Use clear email names like sales, support, or a team member's name.
Keep email names unique within each domain.
Use the default domain for quick testing.
Use a custom domain for production customer communication.
Troubleshooting
If the domain is not in the dropdown, complete email domain setup first.
If the email name is already in use, choose a different name.
If emails send from the wrong address, update the channel sender settings.
If replies are not received in Whippy, verify domain setup and channel sender configuration.
