Copy a message when you need to reuse or share the text from a conversation.

Copy a message

  1. Open Inbox.

  2. Open the conversation that contains the message you want to copy.

  3. Hover over the message.

  4. Select the copy option when it appears.

  5. Paste the copied text where you need it.

Tips

  • Use in-conversation search to find older messages faster.

  • Copying a message copies the message text, not attachments or images.

  • Paste into a plain text editor first if formatting looks unexpected.

Troubleshooting

  • If the copy option does not appear, confirm you are hovering over the message content.

  • If copied text does not paste, try copying again or paste into another app.
