How do I delete a message from a conversation?

Delete a message when it should no longer be visible in the conversation for your team.

Delete a message

  1. Open Inbox.

  2. Open the conversation that contains the message.

  3. Hover over the message you want to delete.

  4. Select the delete option.

  5. Confirm the deletion.

Important notes

  • Deleting a message removes it from the conversation view in Whippy.

  • Deleting a message does not unsend a message that was already delivered to the recipient.

  • Message deletion may not be recoverable.

Troubleshooting

  • If the delete option is missing, confirm your permissions.

  • If the message still appears, refresh the conversation after confirming deletion.

  • If a message was deleted by mistake, check whether your organization has any audit or recovery process.
