Last updated: November 5, 2026

Use Accounts settings to manage communication provider accounts and the provider infrastructure connected to channels, SIP devices, phone numbers, and voice routing.

What Accounts settings are for

  • Provider account configuration.

  • SIP domains and credential lists.

  • Credential attachments.

  • SIP users.

  • Extensions.

  • Phones.

  • Call queues.

  • Auto provisioning.

Steps

  1. Open Settings > Accounts.

  2. Review the Accounts list.

  3. Click Add account if you need to add a provider account.

  4. Open an existing provider account to access Account Settings.

  5. Use Domains, Credential Lists, and Credential Attachments for SIP authentication setup.

  6. Use Users, Extensions, Phones, Call Queues, and Auto Provision for SIP user and phone infrastructure.

  7. Use Channels settings when you need to manage the actual customer communication channel.

Tips

  • Make provider account changes carefully because they can affect multiple channels.

  • Use clear provider account names for test, production, and provider-specific accounts.

  • Use Domains in Accounts for SIP domains. Use Settings > Domains for web, link, and email domains.

  • Review channel setup after changing provider phones or provider credentials.

Troubleshooting

  • If the Accounts page fails to load, refresh the page and contact support if the issue continues.

  • If you cannot add an account, ask an admin to review your role permissions.

  • If you are unsure whether to use Accounts or Channels, use Accounts for provider infrastructure and Channels for channel behavior, users, hours, and responses.
