Last updated: November 5, 2026
Edit a Whippy Business Phone channel to update channel details, provider configuration, business hours, auto responses, call flow, settings, and user access.
Before you start
Confirm you have permission to manage channels.
Know which Business Phone channel you need to update.
For call flow changes, plan the caller experience before editing routes, greetings, or fallback behavior.
Steps
Go to Settings.
Under Organization Settings, click Channels.
Find the Whippy Business Phone channel you want to edit.
Open the channel actions menu.
Click Edit Channel.
Use the available tabs to update the channel:
Overview for channel icon, name, description, and address.
Configuration for provider and sending speed settings.
Business Hours for open and closed schedules.
Auto Responses for automated reply behavior.
Call Flow for inbound routing, greetings, IVR, fallback, and after-hours handling.
Settings for inbox, AI, and link tracking behavior.
Users for channel access.
Save changes in each tab using the relevant update button.
For Call Flow edits, click Stage Changes in each edited section, then click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
Tips
Use clear channel names and icons so teams can choose the correct Business Phone channel.
Confirm provider configuration and sending speed before increasing outbound volume.
Always stage and save Call Flow changes.
Configure default fallback and after-hours behavior even if most calls use IVR routing.
Troubleshooting
If changes are not saving, confirm the correct update or save button was clicked.
If Call Flow changes do not appear, stage changes in the edited section and then save the page.
If incoming call modals do not appear, check call notification settings.
If routing is incorrect, review IVR routes, default fallback, and after-hours settings.
If parked calls are not visible, confirm the call was parked into the expected queue.
