How do I park a call on Whippy Business Phone?
Last updated: November 5, 2026
Park an active Whippy Business Phone call to place it into a call queue so another eligible user can retrieve it without disconnecting the caller.
Before you start
Confirm the call is active and fully connected.
Confirm the call is on a Whippy Business Phone channel.
Use the default queue for simple setups, or create additional queues if your team separates calls by workflow or skill.
Park a call
Answer an incoming call on a Whippy Business Phone channel.
In the in-call controls, click Park.
If only one queue exists, the call is placed into the channel’s default queue.
If multiple queues exist, select the queue you want to park the call into.
Confirm the action.
Verify the call appears in the queued calls list.
Create an additional call queue
Go to Settings > Account > Account Settings.
Open the Call Queues tab.
Click Add Call Queue.
Enter a queue name.
Select the Whippy Business Phone channel the queue applies to.
Save the queue.
Tips
Use multiple queues per channel to separate calls by team or skill.
Name queues clearly so users know where calls are parked.
Monitor queued calls regularly to avoid long hold times.
Use extension-based parking in high-volume environments.
Troubleshooting
If the Park option is not available, wait until the call is fully connected.
If you cannot choose a queue, only one queue may exist.
If a parked call is not visible, check the correct channel and queue.
If an extension does not park the call, verify the extension type, target, and queue selection.
