How do I call from the mobile app?

Use the Whippy mobile app to place outbound calls, call contacts from conversations, and review call history while away from desktop.

Call from the keypad

  1. Open the Whippy mobile app.

  2. Tap Keypad.

  3. Enter the phone number.

  4. Use the channel selector to choose the calling channel.

  5. Review the number and selected channel.

  6. Tap the green phone button to start the call.

Call from a conversation

  1. Open Inbox.

  2. Open the conversation.

  3. Tap the call icon in the top-right corner.

Call from contact details

  1. Open Contacts.

  2. Search for and open the contact.

  3. Tap Call.

View call history

  1. Open Inbox.

  2. Tap Calls.

  3. Search or filter calls by available call types.

Tips

  • Confirm the calling channel before placing a call.

  • Use the keypad for quick outbound calls.

  • Call from a conversation when continuing an existing interaction.

  • Add unknown numbers as contacts to keep records complete.

Troubleshooting

  • If a call does not start, confirm a valid calling channel is selected.

  • If a call is not logged, make sure it was placed from Whippy.

  • If call options are missing, review your role and channel access.
