Create an Add Tags to Contact action tool when an AI agent should automatically apply one or more tags to a contact.

Before you start

  • Confirm the tags already exist in Whippy.

  • Define the condition that should cause the tag to be added.

Steps

  1. Open Agents.

  2. Select Tools, then Create Tool.

  3. Choose Execute Actions.

  4. Name and save the tool.

  5. Add a clear label and description.

  6. Set timeout and speech settings.

  7. Add an Add Tags to Contact action.

  8. Select the tag or tags to add.

  9. Save the action and tool.

  10. Enable the tool on the agent.

  11. Update the agent instructions with when to apply the tag.

Troubleshooting

  • If the tag is not added, confirm the tag is selected in the action.

  • If the wrong contacts are tagged, refine the agent instructions.
