Last updated: November 5, 2026
Accept incoming Whippy Business Phone calls from the incoming call modal, then use in-call controls to manage the conversation.
Before you start
Confirm call notifications are enabled in Whippy and allowed by your browser or mobile device.
Use a stable internet connection.
Confirm your microphone and speaker are working.
Prepare to receive calls
Go to Settings.
Select Notifications.
Enable Web, Mobile Push, or SMS notifications for call events.
Confirm your browser or mobile device allows notifications.
Accept an incoming call
Wait for the incoming call modal to appear.
Review the caller name or number.
For external calls, review the Business Phone channel being called.
Click Accept to answer the call.
Click Decline if you cannot take the call.
In-call controls
Mute or unmute your microphone.
Stop recording if allowed by the channel’s Call Flow settings.
Open the keypad for IVR or menu input.
Transfer the call to another user, agent, or channel.
Park the call into a call queue.
Adjust audio settings.
End the call when finished.
Tips
Keep notifications enabled so calls ring reliably.
Use a headset for clearer audio.
Transfer or park external calls when another team member or queue is better suited.
Use internal calls for short teammate collaboration. Internal calls are not logged and do not create conversation records.
Troubleshooting
If calls do not ring, enable call notifications in Settings.
If the incoming call modal does not appear, allow notifications in browser settings.
If audio quality is poor, switch to a stronger network.
If transfer or park is unavailable, confirm whether the call is internal or whether permissions restrict the action.
If the call is not visible in the call log, it may have been an internal call.
