How do I auto provision SIP devices in Whippy?

Use Auto Provision in a provider account to generate provisioning details for supported SIP devices.

Before you start

  • Confirm you have permission to manage provider account settings.

  • Set up the required SIP domains, credential lists, SIP users, and extensions before provisioning devices.

  • Treat generated provisioning URLs as sensitive setup information.

Steps

  1. Open Settings > Accounts.

  2. Open the provider account that owns the SIP setup.

  3. Select Auto Provision.

  4. Review the generated provisioning details shown on the page.

  5. Use the generated URL according to your device setup process.

  6. Confirm SIP users and extensions are ready before provisioning devices.

  7. Test the device after provisioning.

Tips

  • Provision one test device before rolling out many devices.

  • Document which device maps to which SIP user or extension.

  • Regenerate provisioning details if SIP users or extensions change and the device needs updated configuration.

Troubleshooting
