How do I use global search and keyboard shortcuts?

Last updated: November 5, 2026

Use global search and keyboard shortcuts to move around Whippy faster without clicking through menus.

Before you start

  • Click inside the Whippy app window if keyboard shortcuts are not responding.

Use global search

  1. Press Command + K, or select the search bar in the top navigation.

  2. Type a keyword, such as a contact, conversation, campaign, or sequence name.

  3. Use the arrow keys to move through results.

  4. Press Enter to open the selected result.

  5. Press Esc to close global search.

Common keyboard shortcuts

  • Command + K: Open global search.

  • i: Go to Inbox.

  • n: Create a new message.

  • c: Go to Contacts.

  • g + c: Go to Campaigns.

  • g + s: Go to Sequences.

Tips

  • Use global search when you know the name of the record or page you want.

  • Use keyboard shortcuts for frequent navigation.

  • If a shortcut conflicts with your browser or operating system, click into Whippy and try again.

Troubleshooting

  • If search does not return expected results, check spelling or try a broader keyword.

  • If global search does not close, click outside the panel or refresh the page.

  • If shortcuts do not work, another browser extension or OS shortcut may be intercepting the key combination.
